About Us

Skyfolk – the story so far

Hi there, we are Sara and Don, and we founded Skyfolk together in 2020.

We are (proud) Cork siblings, and having spent most of our adult lives abroad, we returned to Cork to raise our families.

While away we were always looking for artwork of Ireland to be reminded of home but never found anything that quite hit the mark - something inspiring that made us feel the freedom of a wide-open Irish space. A desire to create a contemporary product that was simultaneously reminiscent of home resulted in the start of Skyfolk.

We love to showcase the extraordinary open spaces of Ireland with a bird’s eye view of some of the county’s most beautiful beaches, islands and forests. Our aerial prints celebrate the landscape of Ireland from above - it’s our modern take on an ancient land.

Ireland is unique.

Bring the great Irish outdoors into your home with our aerial prints.

Skyfolk has featured in The Irish Times, RTE Lifestyle Magazine, The Irish Examiner, House and Home magazine, Yay Cork and more.

Materials

We work with a local printer and framer in Cork. All our prints are made to order, produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm paper using special pigment inks, with archival quality guaranteed to last a lifetime. Our bespoke frames are wooden with an open grain finish.

Packaging

We have worked hard to source our variety of different packaging elements with Irish suppliers. We use artwork boxes and postal tubes that are recyclable. Our natural kraft paper is used as an alternative to plastic padding and is sustainable, recyclable and biodegradable. Our eco fill is 100% compostable, it is made from local grade starch, that dissolves in water. We will continue to work on our packaging and making it as environmentally friendly as possible.
